RF/Mixed Signal Design Engineer (RF Signal Path focus) (01-063)
Categories: Engineering
You will work with a team of IC designers and systems engineers to lead the development of deep submicron CMOS RF transceivers for Maxlinears next-generation products. You will define architecture based on high-level specifications and lead the implementation od RF signal chains and constituent blocks. You will participate in integration of these designs into products and will be responsible for design validation, debug, and characterization through product release.
Requirements:
Minimum qualification: Master of Science or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering. 5 years of experience designing RF signal chains and sub-blocks, such as LNAs, RF variable gain/attenuation stages, filters, LO generation, mixers, and PAs. Experience including taking designs from concept through productization. In-depth knowledge of wireless or wire-line communication specifications and derivation of block-level requirements from high-level specifications. Hands-on experience testing your own designs in the lab, and you must be able to define characterization and production test techniques for all building blocks. Familiarity with analog circuits, data converters, and PLLs. Clear understanding of the architectural issues in RF circuits and systems, such as and tradeoffs and design choices required to meet noise and linearity performance. Communication and presentation skills are critical, and strong desire and potential to lead technology development.
